Ann (Willis) Olmsted, 99, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 at her home. A visitation will be held from 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22 at Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. , with a private family inurnment immediately following the services at the Blue Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
Ann was born July 28 1911, in Texico, New Mexico, the daughter of Samuel B. and Ora Lou (Ogden) Willis.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, George Olmsted; four brothers & sisters; one great-granddaughter: Erin McCarter; and one great-grandson: Ian McCarter.
Her survivors include her daughter: Carol Mead & husband Bob of Branson West, MO; a step-son, Ed S. Milton of Ozark, AR; four grandchildren: Mike & Lisa McCarter, Mark & Kim McCarter, Kerry & Scott Hepler, and John McCarter; eight great-grandchildren: Landon, Matt, Ashley, Halie, Brianna & Mason McCarter, and Hayden & Jackson Hepler.
