Dixie Ann Dennis, 69, of Buckner, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011, at Royer-Hays Funeral Home in Blue Springs, MO. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to: Susan G. Komen Foundation; 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
Dixie was born on September 16, 1941, the daughter of Wilma and Harvey Kellison. On July 18, 1958, Dixie was united in marriage to Jack Dennis and he preceded her in death on September 15, 1999. Dixie was a homemaker all of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Dixie is survived by two daughters & sons-in-law: Brenda & Vince Williams of Grain Valley, MO, and Jill & Fred Martin of Buckner, MO; and one grandson: Jack Tanner Dennis.
