Lloyd Fowler, Jr., 80, formerly of Tarsney Lakes, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, MO. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Faith Community Church, 102 Southwest 9th Street, Oak Grove, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.
Lloyd was born May 8, 1930 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Lloyd Hardy& Clara Faye (Eldred) Fowler. On July 21st, 1955 Lloyd married Elizabeth Turley. He worked as a carpenter in commercial construction for many years as a foreman before opening his own company.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife: Elizabeth Fowler; and one daughter: Cheryl Lynn Reed; and an infant son: Larry Wayne Fowler; and one brother: Ed Fowler.
His survivors include one daughter: Debora Corn & husband Jack of Oak Grove, MO; one son: Doug Fowler of Independence, MO; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
