Tommy Brown, 55, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 28th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27th at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
Tommy was born May 5, 1955, in Odessa, Missouri, the son of Rex and Josephine (Booker) Brown. He was an electrician and worked in the maintenance department at T.A. Truck Stop in Oak Grove. Tommy was a member of the Bates City Restoration Church of Jesus Christ. He enjoyed bowling, and riding horses & motorcycles. Tommy loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with friends.
Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine, in 1979.
His survivors include his daughter: CheyAnne Brown of Oak Grove; two sons: Billy Jo Brown of Warsaw, and John Beachner of Grain Valley, MO; his father: Rex Brown of Oak Grove; two sisters: Gail Coffey of Independence, FL, & Tina Butler of Oak Grove; one brother: Dwayne Brown of Lowry City, MO; three grandchildren: Tatien Miller, Cooper Brown, & Kolby Beachner; many nieces & nephews; and a host of friends.
