Nancy “Virginia” Sayers, 83, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at her home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19th, 2011 at the Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; Burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. preceding the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
Virginia was born March 23, 1927 in Sparta, Missouri to Daniel and Eunice (Hall) Stapp. She was a member of the Blue Springs Christian Church. Virginia liked to spend her days quilting, canning her jellies, spending time planting flowers in her garden, and thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time with her family while spoiling all of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Daniel and Eunice Stapp.
Her survivors include three sons: Jack Sayers and wife Gloria of Oak Grove, MO, Rick Sayers of Sedalia, MO and Anthony “Tony” Sayers and wife Klista of Oak Grove, MO; two daughters: George Ann Cervenka of Odessa, MO, and Kimberly Carter and husband Wayne of Oak Grove, MO; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, and a multitude of family and friends.
