Margery (Crawford) Wiseman, 95 of Odessa, MO died Monday, November 21, 2011 at the home. Visitation will be 12:30-2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery outside of Bates City, MO.
Margery was born near Cross Timbers, MO to Daniel & Edna Earl (Bailey) Crawford February 27, 1916. She was married to Hoburt Wiseman of Climax Springs, MO in 1934. They lived in central Mo and finally in Kansas City, MO. Margery worked at the Cowden Mfg. Co. in downtown Kansas City, then at HD Lee Co. where she retired. She had lived in the Odessa are for 40 years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Kansas City. When Margery & Hoburt moved to a farm near Odessa, she became a member of Concord Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Mrs. Wiseman was preceded in death by her husband: Hoburt; daughter: Rose Earl Morris; grandsons: Blake Morris, Curtis Carey; two great-grandchildren: Jeffery Allen Highfill Jr, Mary Highfill; two brothers: Charles and Clifton Crawford; sister Pauline (Crawford) Arnett.
Margery is survived by daughters: Glenda Highfill of Odessa, MO, Shirley & Vernon Carey of Kansas City, MO; 8 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; sister: Wynona Lake of Cross Timbers, MO and many beloved nieces and nephews.
