JO ANN (BEST) ALLINDER, 82, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away November 30, 2011 in Clay Center, KS. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs, MO. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. at The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Blue Springs, MO. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the church.
Jo Ann was born June 24, 1929 Stillwater, OK to Leo & (Grace) Louise Best. She graduated from Poteau, OK High School in 1947. Jo Ann married Bert B. Allinder on August 27, 1948. She attended Oklahoma A&W (now Oklahoma State University) for one year. She was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Joe Ann was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Blue Springs, MO where she had served on the Alter Guild. She was a past member of the Independence Service League. Jo Ann loved to paint and do all kinds of needlework. She loved her dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband; son: Stephen Allinder; brother: Robert Best. Jo Ann is survived by her son: Robert & wife Therese of Overland Park, KS; daughter: Mary & husband Lynn Greenlee of Clay Center, KS; grandchildren: Michael & wife Amanda Hatesohl, Andrew Hatesohl, Thomas Hatesohl.
