BILL DAUGHERTY JR.

Bill Daugherty Jr., 68, of Fulton, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Wichita Falls, Texas.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19^th at Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, MO.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Cancer Research.

His survivors include daughter, Debbie Bray of Winfield, MO; son Dennis Daugherty of Oak Grove, MO; daughter Carmen Childress of Morris, AL; son David Daugherty of the Philippines; son Shawn Garvey of Springfield, MO; stepson Thomas White of Blue Springs, MO; stepdaughter LeAnn Daugherty of Blue Springs; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters.

He was born May 31, 1958 in Kansas City, MO.

Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Marjorie Houston of Quartzsite, AZ; three brothers: Don Houston and David Houston of TX, James Houston of MO; one sister: Anna Steege of Carmel Valley, CA; a daughter: Cassandra Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father: Edwin “Sam” Houston, two brothers: Samuel and  Zane.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Nancy was born September 15, 1948 in Cameron, MO, the daughter of Riley C. and Thelma L. (Swope) Smith.  She was a homemaker.

Her survivors include her husband, William J. Ohl of Kansas City, MO; daughters, Sandra Gilbreath of Drexel, MO, & Pamela Erichson of Blue Springs, MO; brother, Steven Smith of Maysville, MO; sister, Virginia Thomas of Raytown, MO; mother-in-law, Lorraine Ohl of Liberty, MO; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members.

Cody was born January 26, 1987 in Kansas City, MO to Timothy J. Zeller, Sr & Sabrina M. Turner. He was a Warehouse Supervisor at Dawn Food Products.

He enjoyed four wheeling, cruising in his Dodge Dart, having a good time, spending time with family & friends, and working on anything with his Papa and Uncle Shane. He never missed an opportunity to eat Granny’s biscuits and gravy.

Cody is survived by his parents: TJ & Sabrina Zeller of Oak Grove, MO; 3 brothers: Garon Zeller, Ethan Zeller, Tim Zeller; grandparents: Paul & Ginger Turner of Oak Grove, MO, PJ & Carol Zeller of Napoleon, MO, Barbara Joann Zeller of Independence, MO and many friends and family to numerous to mention. Cody had an infectious smile and an energizing personality that could brighten anyones day.  In Cody’s eyes every new day was a party!

Garold was born October 24, 1947 in Clinton, MO to Garold S. & Joan (Brubeck) Lebow. Garold was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling. He was a dedicated father to his sons.

Garold is survived by his sons: Chad Lebow of Oak Grove, MO, Craig Lebow & wife Lori of Oak Grove, MO; 3 sisters: Joetta Shepherd of Independence, MO, Susan Martin of Oklahoma, Gail Thompson of Independence, MO; 5 step grandchildren.

James was born April 23, 1925 in Odessa, MO to Albert & Naomi (Larrin) Harwood.

He served his country in the U.S.M.C. James was an R.N. by trade.

Niccole “Nicci” Jolene Young, 39, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 7^th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6^th at Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs, MO.  Contributions may be made to Midwest Transplant Network, 1900 W. 47^th Place, Suite 400, Westwood, KS 66205 or to Harvesters, 3801 Topping Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64129.

Nicci was born October 28, 1972, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Neal and Marie (Lesniak) Young.  She was the owner of That Catering Company of Blue Springs, MO.  Nicci was compassionate, caring, loving, giving, helping, & understanding.  She was an organ donor, helping save other people’s lives.

Her survivors include her parents, Neal & Marie Young; brother, Neal Young Jr., his wife, Rebecca; sister, Narin Tipton, her husband, Joseph, & her nephews, Jase & Jonathan; her fiancé, Don Fritsche, & his children: Shauna Parks, Dustie Fritsche & Ethan Fritsche; and her beloved dog, Jayk.

Barbara Ann Watts, 64, of Blue Springs, Missouri went to be with her Savior on Monday, April 30, 2012.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5^th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO, with a service following at 3:00 p.m.

Barbara was born September 25, 1947, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Kenneth and Beatrice Campbell.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children & their spouses: Tami, Jim and Tiffany, Scott and Denia; three grandchildren: Alyssa, Austin, & Hali; one brother: Dale Campbell (Ada); six sisters: Linda Inselman (Don), Karen Birkenholtz (Kurt), Sandra Eny, JoAnn Messenger, Adena Price (Darrell), & Rhonda Johnson (Sam); and an abundance of other loving relatives and friends.

Bob was born March 4, 1949 in Kansas City, MO to Richard Duane & Dorothy Jane (Rollins) Downey.

Bob was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He worked at Bayer Chemical for 30 years. Bob is survived by his parents: Richard & Karen Downey; son: Robert Downey, Jr.; brother: Rick (Callie) Downey; and 3 nephews and 1 niece.

Burt was born May 26, 1926, in Mobridge, S.D., to Marion and Bertha (Titland) Hatch. He served his country in World War II in the U.S. Army. September 3, 1950, he married Eleanor A. Woodford. He liked to golf and play cards, he enjoyed the activities at church and being with his family. After 22 years of service, Burt retired from T.W.A. in 1983. Burt was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Bertha Hatch, and daughter, Susan McClain in 2008.

Burt is survived by his wife, Eleanor Hatch of the home; son, Douglas Mark Hatch of Independence, Mo.; daughter, Becky Payne of Blue Springs, Mo.; brothers, Wayne Hatch of Billings, Mont., and Dick Hatch (Sara) of Bloomington, Ind.; sister, Myrna Hempel (Bob) of Springfield, S.D.; three grandchildren, Katrina Hora, Steffany Payne and Sara Payne; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Hora.

Cremation. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 3601 S. Sterling Ave., Independence, Mo. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, Mo.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Methodist Church, 3601 S. Sterling Ave., Independence, Mo., or Vitas Hospice.
