			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Don Munze, 76, of Grain Valley, Missouri, died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 2, 2012, with his family around him.</p>
<p>Don was born November 19, 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Don and Nell (Kretchett) Munze.  He was a graduate of Ruskin High School.  Don was a route supervisor for Continental Bakery and a route driver for Sysco, retiring in 1985.  He loved to watch the Chiefs and travel to Las Vegas.  Don will be missed by his wife of 56 years, Hazel (Case); daughters: Terrie (Tim) Blom &amp; Donna (Alan) Donovan; and son: Don III (Kris) Munze; five grandchildren: Bradley, Tami, Brandon, Corey &amp; Kayla; and two great-granddaughters: Gracie &amp; Hayden.</p>
<p>At Don’s request, there are no services.  Cremation; the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or ALS, Keith Worthington Chapter, in his honor.<em> </em></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Loretta Ann Hoey, 81, of Bates City, MO passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital of Blue Springs.  A Memorial visitation will held from 2-4 pm on January 21, 2012 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove (816-690-4441).</p>
<p> Loretta was born November 28, 1930 in Washington County, OK, the daughter of Minard &amp; Mary (Eastman) Young.  She was one of 10 children.  She married Michael J. Hoey on October 4, 1948 and traveled across the Midwest with his occupation before moving to Kansas City in the 1950s.  In 1972, they moved to Bates City.  Loretta’s past employment includes Patsy Bee, Acutek, and Walmart.   She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, gardening, and collecting porcelain dolls.  She loved working in the fabric department at Walmart and her hobby of dog grooming. </p>
<p> Loretta was preceded in death by brothers Ralph, Junior, Henry, and Forrest Young; and sister Doris Gardner.</p>
<p> Her survivors include sons Michael J. Hoey, Jr. of Bates City and Mark W. Hoey &amp; fiancé Pam Wilson of Odessa; daughter Denise R. Chapman &amp; husband Jim of Cainsville, MO; 5 grandchildren: Chrystal Peppers, Thomas Hoey, Tristan Hoey, Sarah Frerking, &amp; Clyde Chapman; 7 great-grandchildren; and siblings Mitchell Young, Hellen Bettman, Leroy Young, and Mileta Virden.</p>

Dorothy played the drums in her high school band. She loved gardening, her family and especially her grandchildren.</p>
<p>She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert, October 2007; one brothers; three sister. Dorothy is survived by one daughter: Dorothy Hook &amp; husband Jess of Oak Grove, MO; one son: Rob Messmer &amp; companion April of Lee’s Summit, MO; two grandchildren: Alexis J. Messmer, Chase D. Messmer.                </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Walter Douglas “Doug” Johnson, age 73, of Exeter, Missouri, passed away Friday January 13, 2012. </p>
<p>  He was born August 7, 1938, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Walter and Charlotte (Campbell) Johnson.  On July 12, 2008, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Janis Vollenweider, who survives.  Also surviving are one son, Brian Johnson and his wife, Kathy of Franktown, Colorado; one daughter, Julie Gregory and her husband, Jon of Grand Junction, Colorado; one sister, Lois Morrison and her husband, Ray of Lakewood, Missouri; two grandchildren, Cole and Anna Johnson; several nieces, nephews and cousins, step children, step grandchildren and Jan’s mother Ruth Vollenweider.</p>
<p>            Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, William Johnson and Gerald Johnson.</p>
<p>            Doug, as most people knew him grew up in Oak Grove, Missouri, where he graduated from high school.  He continued his education at the University of Missouri and graduated in 1960, with a Bachelor of Agriculture Degree. He served as President of Farmhouse Fraternity as well as numerous other activities.   He served his country in the United States Army.  For several years he was employed for Proctor and Gamble in Cleveland, Ohio and in sales and marketing in Kansas City, MO.  Doug was an avid sports fan and enjoyed his MIZZOU Tigers, farming and growing trees.  He loved his family and friends dearly and was a wonderful friend, father, and husband.  Four years ago he moved from Oak Grove, Missouri to Exeter to make his home.  He was a member of theFirat Baptist Church in Oak Grove and had attended Cassville United Church.</p>
<p>            Visitation will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January, 22, 2012, with a memorial service following at 3:00 in the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.</p>
<p>            Contributions may be made in memory of Doug  to a fund at the first Baptist Church at Oak Grove 400 SE 14<sup>th</sup> ST, Oak Grove, MO 64075, or to the Cassville United Methodist Church Community Food Bank PO Box B, Cassville, MO 65625.</p>

<p>Evelyn was born on June 6, 1947 in Clovis, New Mexico, the daughter of Jessie and Ethel White.  She was a Lab Technician.  Evelyn enjoyed reading, making crafts &amp; spending time with her family.  She loved animals, especially cats.</p>
<p>Her survivors include her husband, Peter Fuller, of Lee’s Summit, MO; two sons: Tim White &amp; Aaron White, both of Lee’s Summit; a brother &amp; sister; and one granddaughter:  Breanna Sipek &amp; husband, Nic, of Holden, MO.</p>

<p>A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. 6001 Foggy Bottom Rd., Bates City, MO. Rick Hollinsworth will be the Speaker.  Cremation.</p>
<p>Russell graduated from Bates City High School in 1940. He served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946. He married Ruth Croly June 22, 1946. Russell was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1992. Russell farmed in the Napoleon area most of his life and retired form Allis Chalmers in 1984 after 28 years of employment.</p>
<p>He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth in February 1992. Russell is survived by two sons: Dennis Breuer of Ft. Myers, FL, Timothy Breuer of Napoleon, MO; one daughter: Suzanne Breuer of Napoleon, MO; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.</p>

<p>January 11, 2012. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 at Royer Funeral Home; Oak Grove, MO. Graveside Service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Letha was born July 15, 1924 in Kansas City, MO to Elijah &amp; Ellen (Johanson) Ferguson. She married Guy Stevens in March,1951. Letha was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and was very involved with the church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Letha is survived by daughter: Linda Harris; son: Frank Stevens; three grandchildren: Travis Stevens, Robert Harris, Anna Harris.</p>
