Barbara Orene Parks, 88, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023.  Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 31^st at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Eskimo Rescue Group of St. Louis.

Barbara was born on December 9, 1934, in Malta Bend, Missouri, the daughter of Orval R. and Edith M. (Garner) Rash.  She enjoyed raising her family, quilting, listening to country gospel music, playing dominoes and card games with her family, and working at Walmart.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ervin Lee Parks, who died in October 2005; daughter, Pamela Williams, sister, Helen Connelly, and son-in-law, Chuck Gamblin.

Her survivors include 5 children: Jerry Parks (Carmeletta) of Oak Grove, Stan Parks of Pleasant Hill, MO, Timothy Parks of Kansas City, MO, Sharon Gamblin of Oak Grove, and Lisa Kaufman (Stacey) of Blue Springs, MO; her twin sister, Lorene Olson of Kansas City, MO; 18 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
