Barbara R. Brown, 92, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022.  Per her wishes, there will be no services.

Barbara was born September 1, 1929, in Buford, Arkansas, the daughter of Henry and Ruby (Smothers) Erwin.  She retired from GM after working there from 1977 – 1988.  Barbara was also the co-owner of J&B Liquor and had been a janitor for the Oak Grove School District.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a one-of-a-kind woman who fiercely loved her family. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, listening to classic country music, and spending time at the Davis Center with her friends. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Tracy Houston; two sisters, Rosemary Lewis and Rowenna Beavers; and two brothers, Glen Erwin and Gene Erwin.

Her survivors include son, Billy Brown (Sue) Of Nashua, NH; daughter, Tencha Robertson of Oak Grove, MO; Karen Seimears (Jeff) of Oak Grove, MO; four grandchildren: Haley Jowett (Chris) of Odessa, MO, Morgan Banks (Josh) of Oak Grove, MO, Misty Fowler of Independence, MO, and Stephanie Fowler of Independence, MO; two great-nieces that were like granddaughters: Gia Clementi and Jordan Clementi-Gerken (Ryan), both of Lee’s Summit, MO; seven great-grandchildren: Addison, Sawyer, Sutton, River, Rocky, Porter, and Delta; two brothers: Ivan Erwin (Linda) of Colorado, and Ronald Erwin (Mary) of Louisiana; sister-in-laws: Meiko Erwin and Mae Erwin, and many nieces and nephews who she treasured.
