Barbara Sue Hopkins, 88, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April, 13, 2022. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Barbara, known affectionately as “Barg” to her family and friends, was born March 22, 1934 in Bolivar, Missouri. Daughter of William Herman and Pauline (Willis) Brobisky. Barbara married Gerald Stanley Hopkins of Wishart MO. on March 2nd 1952. They lived a fruitful life until Stanley’s passing in 2016. Barbara was an avid craft maker and also a proficient seamstress owning her own sewing business.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Sonny and Gene Brosbisky; and Danny Espinoza.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Deana Stake and husband Tom of Lebanon Mo;

Two daughters, Tonda Barnes and husband Jim of Oak Grove and Diana O’Bar and husband Tim of Bates City; Three granddaughters: Shawna Jobe and husband Kenny of Odessa, Stanci Fowler of Oak Grove, and Shari Taylor and husband Jeremy of Oak Grove; Seven great grandchildren: Katelyn Russell and husband Taylor of Odessa, Matthew Jobe of Columbia Mo, Samantha Walker and husband Deven of Richmond Mo, Hayley Fowler of Liberty Mo, Delenay Fowler of Liberty, and Alex and Jake Taylor of Oak Grove;

Three great-great-grandchildren: Adailyn Carter and Colson Walker of Richmond, and Phoenix Schroeder of Liberty; and many nieces, nephews and family friends.
