Bernadine “Bernie” Patel, 71, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30^th at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The American Hearts Association.

Bernie was born on May 25, 1950 in Longview, Washington.  Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She earned her associates degree in nursing and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years.  Along with her husband, Madhuker, she owned and operated several small businesses.  Most recently, The Oak Grove Inn in Oak Grove, Missouri.  She loved visiting with her family and playing with her grandkids.  She always greeted you with a warm smile and a friendly laugh.

Bernie is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Madhuker Patel; her two devoted sons; Rajesh (Holly) Patel and Rocky (Karine) Patel; her five grandchildren: Kim, Maya, Samson, Jada, and Clara Patel; her siblings: Sharon (Bill) Brucker, Arnold (Kim) Miller, Emily Martinez, and Randy Miller; her sisters-in-laws: Laxmiben (Ramanbhai), Pushpaben, and Lilaben (Joitabhai); and many nieces and nephews.

Bernie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cecelia Miller; her siblings Bob Miller, Kathleen Arnold, and June Bryan; and her brother-in-law Jayantibhai Patel.
