Betty Ruth (Heyman) Scully, 93, was called to heaven on May 3, 2023 peacefully at the home with her family. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2023 in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, Missouri.
She was born on December 15, 1929 in Burns, KS. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to any and all she met. In her years on earth, she enjoyed time raising her own children as well as watching her grandchildren grow up and play sports. She married the love of her life, Jim Scully, on October 11, 1950.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Lester & Mildred Heyman, brother, Jack Heyman, her husband Jim and son Ron.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan & Phil Chaffee, son, Mike & Debbie Scully and daughter in law, DaLisa Scully. Grandchildren, Krissy (John) Conner, Kim Scully, Jamie (Alli) Scully, Ashley (Isaiah) Dunn, & Justin (Nicole) Scully. Step grandchildren Kate (Tommy) Huitt-Johnson, Kirby (Eric) Whaley as well as great grandchildren, Caden, Kinley & Kendall Conner, Braylon & Beckham Scully, Harlen & Gatlin Scully and step great grandchildren Riley, Avry, Kyla & Dayton Dunn, Bryleigh Scully, Vida Huitt-Johnson and Wesley Whaley.
