Cari Agnes Malcolm, age 62, passed away peacefully at home in Oak Grove, Missouri, on December 18, 2025.
Cari was a devoted partner, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose kindness and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She shared her life with her loving partner, Shawn Stryker, and found her greatest joy in her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm Donald Stewart and Dorothy Lee Coppock Campbell Stewart, and her brother, Jerry Campbell.
Cari is survived by her two sons and their families: Jed Malcolm and his wife Amanda, and their four children, Chase, Jaxon, Paige, and Piper; and Luke Malcolm and his wife Tess, and their daughter Mila. She is also survived by her siblings, Cindy, Camey, Connie, and Jay, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
For more than 20 years, Cari dedicated herself to caring for others as a dental assistant at Hastings Dental, where she was known for her compassion, reliability, and gentle nature. Her work was more than a career—it was another way she expressed her care for people.
Above all else, Cari treasured time spent with her family and loved ones. Those moments—gatherings, conversations, and simple time together—were the memories she held closest to her heart.
Cari will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to her family, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on through those she loved and the many lives she touched.
A viewing for Cari will be held at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2025. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with a celebration of life at the American Legion at noon.
