Charles “Charlie” Jacob Kunkel III was a legend in his own time. Born April 21, 1945 in St. Louis, MO. He lived a full and rich life, filled with adventure, love and laughter. Starting C K Enterprises in 1981 from his garage in Lee’s Summit, MO, he was a master of sanitation chemicals, a connoisseur of fine cigars, and a collector of sharp and shiny things. Throughout his life, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, being on the water, and traveling. He loved his family, his friends and his dogs more than anything in the world. Passing April 7, 2023, he left us too soon, but he left us with many memories and stories to cherish. He also left us with a lot of dog treats, because he wanted us to remember him every time we spoil our furry companions. He was generous like that.

He is survived by his partner Renee Ryan; his children Charles Kunkel IV (Chari) and Amanda Kunkel Beech; his grandchildren Charles V (Sierra), Cayla, Chelby, Mary Evarts (Konnor), Allison and Corbin; his sister Carol Watts (Fred); sister-n-law Margaret Kunkel; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Thomas Kunkel.

We will always celebrate his spirit and his legacy, he will be missed by his family, friends and family of employees. He was one of a kind, and we are lucky to have known him. Rest in peace, Charlie. You were the best.

Obituary submitted by the family.
