David Beaver

David Beaver, recently of Napoleon, MO, but spent most of his life at Stilwell, OK, passed peacefully at home from this world to his Heavenly Home on Monday, January 16, 2023.  David was born on July 27, 1941 in Tahlequah, OK to Taylor and Flora Beaver.  He graduated from Stilwell High School, Nursing School, and later became an Emergency Medical Technician and retired from that job.  He also went to Rhema Bible College and traveled throughout the United States as an Evangelist.  He especially enjoyed and held close to his heart his work with the Navajo Indians. As a young man he was married to Johnnie who gave him a daughter, LaHauna, and a son, Russell.

David was preceded in death by his mom, Flora Israel Beaver, his dad, Taylor Beaver, and his two brothers, Tommy Beaver and Taylor Beaver.

He left behind his wife of 13 years, Jewel Beaver, his daughter, LaHauna Hodges, and family, his son, Russell Beaver, and family, a step daughter, Delores Botts, (who affectionately called him ‘Her Sweet Dad)’, and family, as well as his sister, Glenna Ford, and her family, and his sister, Darlene Beaver, and her family, many loved nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Although there is no doubt, he will be better off in his heavenly home, he will be greatly missed and never forgotten here. David was a minister of the gospel and always put God first in his life. He was known by everyone to be a ‘helper’, sometimes getting up in the middle of the night to go help someone. He was also a ‘giver’ known to give away cars, trucks, money, etc. but most of all he gave of himself to anyone in need.  He was kind, thoughtful, patient, generous and loving, living out his faith in God by imitating God’s only begotten son, Yahshua Messiah (Jesus Christ).

A small family Celebration of Life will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, January 19 at his home in Napoleon, MO and a Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, January 20 at Lighthouse Church in Stilwell, OK.

Obituary submitted by the family.
