27 Apr 2021I only knew David a short time. As I shared a love of family history with David, we had shared photos of his family members that lived in Oak Grove. I only met him a short time ago, but he was such a nice person and we were still sharing photos shortly before his accident. I send my sincerest sympathy to his family members.

30 Apr 2021David and I were the best of friends our senior year in high school and for awhile after, at which time I moved away to college and we lost touch. The last time I actually saw him was at our 10 year class reunion, where I was able to introduce him to my husband, and vice versa. We both went about our lives after that until recently when I started spending some time on Facebook. We became FB friends and spoke on messenger just 2 or 3 weeks before his accident. I was so sad when I heard of his passing as I was looking forward to future conversations with him, and catching up on everything! He had invited me to join the family website so I did. That is how I knew of his passing. Anyway, I have wonderful memories of our time spent together when we were young! He would pick me up in his navy blue VW bug and we would go places like Putsch’s on the Plaza, or to Hill Park to watch wannabe tennis players, or just drive around, etc. We could sit anywhere and talk for hours. Even back then, he was a true gentleman! My heart is broken that he passed so soon…I know he had a lot of things he still wanted to do. I will always hold a special place in my heart for him! I want to extend my sincerest sympathies to your family. I know he will be greatly missed. May God be with all of you during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
