Dawn Marie Norris Rowlett, 49 years old, passed away in her home in Independence, MO on May 10th, 2015. Dawn was born in Independence, MO on July 19, 1965. She attended Fort Osage High School and graduated in 1985. Dawn also attended Penn Valley Community College and earned her Associate in Applied Science and was a Registered Nurse at Centerpoint Hospital for 12 years. Dawn’s favorite activity was adoring her beautiful daughters Savanah and Samantha, spending time on her motorcycle with her fiancé Allen, and nurturing and spoiling everyone she encountered. Dawn loved to laugh and make people laugh, which warmed her heart.

Dawn is survived by her daughters: Savanah Lee Helen Rowlett, 25 years old, and Samantha Josephine VanValkenburg, 20 years old, both of Independence, MO; stepmother, Louetta Norris; fiancé, Allen Atkinson; 3 sisters: Vickie Norris-Arnold, Laurie Keeton, & Lisa Shaw; 5 brothers: Victor Norris, Garen Norris, James Noel, Scott Norris, & Mark Haley; and her unborn granddaughter, who is due in August. Dawn is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Norris and Patricia Norris; brother, Darrell Norris; and her beloved Doberman, Maggie.
