Ellyn “George” B. Garton, 90, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. May 7, 2024 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. Ellyn was born June 2, 1933 in Sumner, Missouri to Barnard and Lillian (Gray) Callaway. George was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked many years in the Sheet Metal industry. George’s farm kept him busy as well, raising cattle. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing and playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary (Brinkoetter) Garton; sister, Donna Perusich; and brother, Duane Garton.
George is survived by 3 daughters: Deborah Myers, Diana & Chris Reynolds and Mary & David Reeder; 2 sons: William & Lori Garton, Brian Garton and Sherri Phillips; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Bernadine Larkin, Gloria Pearson and Lola Bulman; and many nieces and nephews.
