Eugene S. Mitchell, Jr., 77, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, at Blue Springs Wellness and Rehabilitation. Born and raised in Kansas City, Eugene was the beloved son of the late Eugene S. Mitchell and Mary Mitchell.

A proud veteran, Eugene served his country honorably in the United States Air Force serving as a Staff Sergeant and was a participant in the Vietnam War. 

Eugene’s passion for learning never waned. A lifelong student, he found joy in continuing education, particularly in the study of electrical circuits—a field that fascinated him and fueled his curiosity. 

He is survived by his former wife, Ana F. Mitchell, and their children: David Mitchell, Celina Fisher, and Jonathan Mitchell.

Eugene has been laid to rest with honor at the Higginsville Veterans Cemetery, a final tribute to a man who served his country
