Freda Maurine Alexander, 92, of Oak Grove, MO passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be 11:30 am – 1:00 pm Saturday October 26, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, Oak Grove, MO. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the church. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution in Freda’s name may be made to First Baptist Church of Oak Grove – Children’s Ministry 400 E. 14th St. Oak Grove, MO 64075
Freda was born July 23, 1921 in Hume, MO to Charles & Emma (Thompson) Mullis.
Freda married John M. Alexander in 1951. She worked at Lake City Arsenal as an Inspector.
Freda was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Oak Grove and the Joy Sunday School Class.
Freda loved her children and loved taking care of them. Her family, church family and Sunday school class were very important to her.
Freda was preceded in death by her husband John in 1981 and her son Greg in 2010.
Freda is survived by her son Brad Alexander & wife Sue of Oak Grove, MO; daughter-in-law: Jeanne Alexander of Oak Grove, MO; sister: Kay Laning of Pleasant Hill, MO; brother: Keith Mullis of El Dorado, AR; 4 grandchildren: Jason Jennings, John Alexander, Greg Alexander, James Alexander; 2 great-grandchildren: Gracie Alexander, Cydney Alexander
