Gary Don Reid passed away on March 31, 2022, at the age of 62, in his home surrounded by his family. His battle with cancer showed his strength in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Gary came out a warrior and stayed strong until the very end.
Gary never met a stranger and greeted anyone and everyone with an unforgettable warmth. He was a true friend to all and an inspirational leader. He was dedicated to his Faith and serving others and would drop anything to be there for his family when they needed them.
Gary and his infectious laugh will be missed by all that knew him.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Bess (Phil) Standley and Joe Reid. He is survived by his Wife: Becky Reid; Daughters: Grace Reid, Theresa Eighmy, and Amanda Reid, Sons: Greg Eighmy, Eric Eighmy, Grant (Nico) Reid, and Clint (Meg) Watts; Sisters: Melanie (Guy) Bailey and Karen (Roger) Sisson; Brothers: Curtis (Shari) Reid and Kevin (Lana) Reid, Step-Siblings: Bobby Standley and James Standley.
His funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, April 8th, at Saint John LaLande Catholic Church in Blue Springs, Missouri. The family will host a visitation from 10:00 am until the service time.
