
Jacob Hunter Gaches, 21, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018. Two memorial services will be held; the first will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12th at the Grain Valley Community Center, Grain Valley, MO, and the second will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 18th at Sunnybrook Christian Church, Stillwater, OK. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Jacob’s honor to Special Olympics Oklahoma, Turning Point Ranch, or Make Promises Happen at Central Oklahoma Christian Camp.
Jacob was born on March 3, 1997 in Oklahoma City, OK, son of John and Stacy (Bauter) Gaches. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 2016. He loved going to school and loved riding the school bus even more. In high school he was awarded the Spirit Award by his peers because he would cheer everyone on. He was always ready to cheer everyone on or help them out. When he was younger he enjoyed helping in the kitchen and with vacuuming. Jacob loved competing in Special Olympics, his favorite events were 25m dash and the 25m wheelchair slalom. He won numerous gold and silver medals competing in the Special Olympics. Jacob loved cheering on the Oklahoma State University sports, going to Wal-Mart and playing video games. He also loved the time he spent riding and working with horses at Turning Point Ranch and Misty Rivers Equestrian Center. Jacob lived a full life.
Jacob is preceded in death by his father, John Gaches; and great-grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Stacy Bauter; his grandparents, Jack and LaVaughn Gaches, Joe and Alice Fowler, and Bob and Connie Bauter; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, 2nd cousins, and friends.
