Janet L. Hayward, 78, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023. Her visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family.
Janet was born January 11, 1945 to Gordon and Barbara Prestwich. She loved nurturing her plants. Her favorite flower has always been a Yellow Rose. A few of the many things that Janet enjoyed was bird watching, collecting anything Coca Cola, shopping and trips to the boats to try her luck at gambling. Janet was a dedicated nurse and loved all of her patients like family. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids and buying them anything they would want.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Danny Cross.
Janet is survived by husband, Ted Hayward of Grain Valley, MO; daughters, Kim and Kevin Vittetoe of Grain Valley, MO, Dawn Cross of Independence, MO, and Stephanie Hayward; sons: Ted Hayward Jr. and wife Kara; and Cary Don Hayward and wife Shannon; grandchildren: Ashley, Sarah, Kole, Joshua and Tyler and Amanda; and great-grandchildren: William, Amelia, Violette, Drew, Brooke, Bjorn, Channing, Sabella, Jaxton and Everley.
