Jeremy J. Frerking


Jeremy “JJ” James Frerking, 49, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Visitation will be 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Service to follow at 6:30 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2023 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to: Wounded Warrior Project ~ woundedwarriorproject.org and Central Jackson County Fire Protection District for the First Responders.

JJ was born November 30, 1973 in Independence, Missouri to Jerold Lee and Cynthia Joan (Cash) Frerking. JJ worked as a laborer for 14 years at Dunpar and 11 years at J.E. Dunn. He was an avid KC Chiefs and KC Royals fan. If he wasn’t fishing for crappie and catfish, hunting deer and wild turkey, you could catch him bobbing in the water or enjoying a nice cold beer on the boat. JJ always had a good time sitting around a bonfire listening to music with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his uncle James Frerking; step mother-in-law, Kathryn Paine.

JJ is survived by his wife, Gretchen; two daughters: Mason Rose Frerking and Emilee Catherine Frerking; father, Jerry (Judy); Mother, Cindy; sister, Susan Frerking-Gipson; nephew, Bret Gipson; niece, Brooke Gipson; father-in-law, Richard Paine; mother-in-law, Lana Simms; sister-in-law, Heather (John) Campbell; brother-in-law, Zach (Shannon) Paine; niece, Avery; two nephews: Colton Campbell and Cameron Campbell; niece, Megan (Jake) Bate; niece, Hannah (Jose) Vera; niece, Emily Jo (DeAngelo) Blakemore; cousins, Mike Frerking, Cody Frerking; stepsister, Amy (Mike) Woods; step-nieces: Loren (Kyle) Slinkard and Bethany Woods; stepsisters: Lindsay (Jason) Tarasovic, Ashley Hudson, Billie Chamberlin; aunts: Cheryl, Debbie and Darlene; cousins: Tim, Chere, David and Denise.
