John E. Glenn


John E. Glenn passed away on May 3rd, 2024 of unexpected terms with his daughters by his side.

He was born to Sherman Edward “Ed” Glenn and Shirley Mae (Koelmel) Glenn. He graduated from William Chrisman High School class of 1974. He had an extraordinary love for sports! Playing football and baseball in high school, and a stint in the minor leagues. Catching for Rick Sutcliffe. He won numerous awards and trophies in Judo, climbing his way to third in the nation. John also loved coaching his daughter’s softball, watching the Kansas City Royals, the Kansas City Chiefs anytime they were playing, and an avid watcher of women’s softball and basketball. His love for cooking will never be forgotten as he was very good at it.

John is proceeded in death by his mother Shirley and grandparents.

He is survived by his father, Sherman; brother, Jeff; daughters: Jocelynn (Shawn), Jamie and Kelsey (Jared); Grandkids: Garrett, Brock, Kyndrie, and Taryn; Niece, Riley and Nephew, Nolan.

We will have a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.

  2. John was a great friend and will be missed by everyone who knew him. He not only had a great passion for sports but also a great passion for the people that were fortunate enough to call him a friend.

  3. Had a lot of good times with John , Jeff and all the girls. We drank a many a beer at Tims Pizza.
