John K. Richardson

John Kenneth “Kenny” Richardson, 60, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Kenny was a man that had a passion for racing. He was always in the driver seat and in control. As a drag racer, he competed in the NHRA and took home numerous wins; the most impressive being the 1997 dream series. It was a passion that he always expressed to those around him. Animals with the ability to bring others laughter were also things that brought Kenny joy. He had his own silly sayings that could only come from his mouth and people sometimes thought he got along better with animals than humans. Kenny’s most prized possessions however, were his kids. He was meant to be a father and gave his all to his children. He was the most loving father and never failed to reveal the depth of his love. Kenny was a goofy dad that allowed his children to learn things on their own while always offering a helping hand. His children will always feel their father’s absence, but find comfort in knowing he will have a front row view of the rest of their lives from heaven. He spent his most recent years living with his loving partner Dawn Aiman. They shared the most pure love and his happiness expanded every day in her presence. John Kenneth Richardson will forever be missed by his loved ones, but he did well in touching all of the lives with his unforgettable way of just being Kenny.

Kenny is survived by his son, John Richardson of Grain Valley; daughter, Adison Richardson of Grain Valley; partner, Dawn Aiman of the home; parents, John & Mary Richardson of Independence, MO; 2 brothers, David Michael Richardson (Susan) of Roann, IN and Gregory Richardson (Blanca) of Carrolton, MO; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
