Linda K. Roberson


Linda Kay Roberson, 69, of Sugar Creek, Missouri, graduated to heaven to meet her Lord on March 20, 2017.  Celebration of Life services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 24th at New Hope Baptist Church, 18000 E Lexington, Independence, MO.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the church.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Hope Baptist Church prophet’s chamber.

Linda was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church, loved her family and friends, and was always found helping others all hours of the day and night.  She drove a special needs school bus for over 20 years.  John and Linda are known for the many people/children they adopted along the way.  They had their own way of taking in strays and they were all known as adopted children.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Minnie Smith, and sisters, Mary Lou Brown and Flossie Alexander.

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, John R Roberson, Sr.; five daughters: Tonya Salazar (Rick) of Indianapolis, IN, Rhonda Roberson (Michael) of Warren, OH, Angela Sullivan (David) of Independence, MO, Sandra Troublefield (Paul) of Hagerman, NM, and Mary Badalian (Karl) of Nixa, MO; three sons: John Roberson (Jennifer) of Battlefield, MO, Douglas Roberson (Lori) of Lovington, NM, and Garry Roberson (Jamie) of Battlecreek, MI; two sisters: Aileen Hoskins (Robert) and Marie Deckard; two brothers: Marion Smith, Jr. (Vicki) and David Smith; 28 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws.
