Linda Pearl Schlobohm, 71, of Independence, Mo. passed away surrounded by family on Saturday January 28, 2023.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m.
She was born in Kansas City, Mo. on July 14, 1951, to Robert Herrin (Bob) and Claudine Herrin. To know Linda was to love her and to be loved by her. And to say she loved life is an understatement. She was a ball of fire that was very direct and had a great since of humor, “she would let you know where you stood”. She was a full-time career mom and wife with a splash in the restaurant industry. When she was in the kitchen she was in a zone. She loved to cook for the family. Linda also loved her cats, playing poker, bingo, fishing, slots machines, and a dice game named Farkle. She was an ever-present amazing Nanas to her 5 grandkids and 3 great grandkids. They spent time playing cards and dice and eating delicious meals. Her spirit will be celebrated and she will be dearly missed.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Cherrick Schlobohm, son Jason Schlobohm, daughter Trina Lanphear, 5 grandchildren Ashtyn Schlobohm, Briana Lanphear, James Hicks, Peter Lanphear, Richmond Lanphear, and three great grandchildren, Siblings Bobbie George, Roxanne Deeds, Faye Parker, Billy Herrin, Clyde Herrin, Ricky Herrin and countless nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Claudine Herrin and brother Terry Herrin.
Obituary submitted by the family.

31 Jan 2023To Linda’s husband Rick and the rest of her family. We were so sorry to hear this news. We will have you in our prayers for comfort and the peace of knowing Linda is with her heavenly family now.
We will miss her awesome smile and her beautiful, exceptional laugh. There were always great times when growing up I (Debbie) was able with my siblings to go to Uncle Bob’s and Aunt Claudine’s and have such fun with our cousins. We love you all.
