Lynda Gaylene Koenke, 70, of Independence, MO passed away December 27, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home; Independence, MO. Memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
Lynda was born July 22, 1952 in Independence, MO to William G & Shirley L (England) Williams. She married Roger Koenke on December 27, 1971. Lynda loved her dogs. She was a day care worker where she enjoyed working with children. Lynda enjoyed being a house wife, outdoor activities, working in the flower and vegetable gardens. She spent many hours feeding and watching the birds. Lynda was an amazing cook and baker. Most important to Lynda was spending time with her family.
Lynda was preceded in death by her father: William Williams; brother: Tom Williams.
Lynda is survived by her husband: Roger Koenke; children: Michelle Walters (Richard), Shaun Koenke; grandchildren: Kailey Walters, Kaden Walters; mother: Shirley Williams.

2 Jan 2023I’m one of Lynda’s cousins on her father’s side, My father, Uel, was Gaylord’s brother. I am so sorry to hear that Lynda passed. I only met her a few times, but I knew she was a kind and caring person. Your family has had so many losses. May you find comfort knowing she was much loved.
