Madalyn Lucille Eck, 83, of Belton, MO passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at home surrounded by her daughters.
Madalyn was born February 1, 1942, in East Saint Louis, IL to William and Virga (Requa) Eldridge. Madalyn retired as a computer systems analyst from the Internal Revenue Service in Kansas City, MO after 37 years of service. She had a deep love for all living creatures and rescued many. She enjoyed planting flowers, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Madalyn was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Hiatt, sister Louise Boxley, son-in-law Christopher Schneider, and many beloved pets.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynette Wall (George), Charlynn Millican (Kevin), Melynda Eck, Rosalynn Eck, and Jacquelyn Harrison, her chosen son James McClure, her faithful feline companion, Slip, and many other pets she loved so much. She is survived by her grandchildren Jessica Henderson, Brooklynn Robinson (Ray), Candice Maberry (Joshua), Cody Harrison, Aislynn Harrison-Perkins, Colten Harrison (Sophie), and Kyle Harrison. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Hailey James, Lola Boyd, Charlie Duhe, Margo Maberry, Ryder Harrison, Cohen Harrison, Cayl Thompson, Lincon Thompson, Mila Perry, and 2 more expected this fall.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for the family.
