Marian H. Blacksten, 90, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21st in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, Missouri.
Marian was born March 5, 1931, in Spickard, Missouri, to Irvin and Effie (Hickman) Lankford. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Independence. Marian enjoyed all sports and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Royals, MU Basketball and the Kansas City Chiefs. Trips to Las Vegas were something both she and her husband enjoyed doing together. Marian always loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Blacksten, in 2016; stepson, Mark Blacksten; great-granddaughter, Hannah Chance; two brothers: Wendell Lankford and Dude Lankford; two sisters: Frankie Milner and Pauline Lynch.
Marian is survived by her two daughters: Paula Duncan (Eddie) of Blue Springs, MO, and Pam Kahmann (Joe) of Lee’s Summit, MO; one stepdaughter, Susan McCammon (Mike) of Asheville, NC; four grandchildren: Christian Duncan, Elizabeth Chance (Darin), Melissa Bauer (Todd), and Jennifer O’Toole (Terry); six step-grandchildren: Reagin McCammon, Andrew McCammon, Brandon Blacksten, Garrett Blacksten, Brett Blacksten, and Cassie Autrey; 12 great-grandchildren: Avery, Carson, Mia, Jack, Hank, Lillian, Amelia, Tripp, Elsie, Cecilia, Evie, and Lottie.
