Michael Patrick Romeo Sr., 66, of Bates City, MO, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at St. Luke’s East Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Mike was born on February 4, 1957 in Pontiac, MI, and spent his childhood in the Buffalo, NY area. After high school graduation, he moved to San Diego, CA to work in the shipyards. Eventually, he settled in Missouri, where he lived for the remainder of his life.
Mike married his wife Ronda on May 5, 2001, and together they have 3 children, Kimberly, Michael Jr., and Matthew.
After his retirement from GM, he spent as much time as he could with family whether it be swimming in his pool, having bonfires, or just sitting around having a good time. He had also taken up blacksmithing and loved showing off all the knives he was making. His biggest passion was his Harley Davidson and he loved to be out riding as much as he could.
Mike is survived by his wife Ronda; daughter Kimberly Rider (Bryan) of Odessa; sons, Michael Jr. (Lindsey) of Grain Valley and Matthew (Hope) of Independence; brothers, Tim and Bob, both from New York; sister, Kathy from South Carolina; 9 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
