Neil Schuyler, born in Houston, Tx on 12/29/1941, passed away at 82 yrs., on June 21st, 2024 at St. Lukes East in Lee’s Summit, MO. Survived by his cousin Debrah and husband, James “Pat” Bliss of Washington, MI.
Neil was a friend to many, and mentor to even more throughout his lifetime. Many that knew him loved him, and he held those that loved him dear. He was an avid hunter, and fisherman across the 4 corners of the United States, including Canada. Truly a man born 100 years too late, a mountain man at heart. His passion was bricklaying, and he became very proficient and educated at his trade, spending an entire working lifetime traveling the United States working in the International Brotherhood of Bricklayers. He very much enjoyed sharing his trade with anyone willing to learn. Neil served for our country in the United Stated Navy. He lived a life by his own rules and kept his circle small, those that interacted with him were usually met with great stories and undeniable sarcasm. Those that knew him well will miss him forever.
There is a “Celebration of Life” planned at Score Sports Bar & Grill at 9100 E 35th St. S., Independence, MO 64052 on July 13th at 1:00 pm. Please come planning to visit and share pictures and stories in remembrance of Neil.
