Peggy Cady, 88 of Oak Grove Mo went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2022. She passed on at home surrounded by her daughters and son in law.

Peggy was born June 25, 1933 in Honolulu Hawaii. She loved to cook and started at the young age of 14. Her goal was to make the Guinness Book of World Records for longest hours cooking. She came very near breaking the record several times. She worked at several restaurants and truck stops from Odessa to Kansas City where her customers came in regularly to enjoy her home cooking and huge homemade cinnamon rolls. She was so short that all her customers could see behind the work station was her hat running back and forth. She ea rn several nicknames for being so short. She also craved ice sculptures in her career, she loved to be creative with what she made including whales made out of watermelons, deserts, etc. She just enjoyed pleasing people and making them happy. She was a very giving woman.

She also loved to sew, watch westerns, garage sales (where she would give away most of everything she bought just to see the joy it brought them). She loved her family and spending her time on the farm watching the animals and grandchildren and great grandchildren run around.
