Peggy L. Heath


Peggy Lynn Heath, 63, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 14, 2021.  Services will be held on Saturday, June 26th at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and memorial at 11:00 a.m., followed by the burial of ashes in Shore Cemetery in Oak Grove.

Peggy was born April 21, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Raymond and Betty (Schwartz) Mawhiney.  She worked for Dr. Clark and at Health Plus for over 20 years.  Peggy grew up a member of the Oak Grove RLDS church and was ordained a Priest in the Oak Grove Community of Christ church.  She assisted her husband as the pastor of the Bates City Community of Christ church for 7 years. She enjoyed reading, 60s music, growing flowers, antiquing, Victorian architecture, Bed & Breakfasts, and Christmas.  She loved spending time with her family and playing with her granddaughters.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Rebecca McGinnis.  Her survivors include her husband of 42 years, Michael Heath of the home; two sons: Jonathan Heath (Rebecca) of St. Peters, MO, and Joshua Heath (Kimiko) of Columbia, MO; two sisters: Dinah Grote (Roy) and Wanda Sudduth, both of Oak Grove; and three grandchildren: Hannah, Caitlyn, and Christina.

  1. Iā€™m so sorry to here about Peggy. The pig roasts at her parents house every summer holds some of my fondest memories.

  3. I am so sorry for the loss of Peggy, Like Jennie said, we will always remember all the good pig roast at the family gatherings.
