Ricky Charles Michaels, 57, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 20th at St. Peter United Methodist Church, Blue Springs, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Graveside services and Inurnment, with military honors, will be held in Blue Springs Cemetery.

Rick was born on February 16, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Joyce Michael. He was a 1968 graduate of Blue Springs High School and completed his BA in Business Administration at Tarkio College, Tarkio, MO. Rick was a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam era, serving in Germany. He was a truck driver for Roberts Dairy. Rick enjoyed golf and loved the KC Chiefs & KC Royals. He was a member of the St. Peter United Methodist Church.

Rick was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Ralph Michael, and a special cousin, Charles Harrington.

His survivors include his wife, Tobi Michaels of the home; five children: Jason Patterson & his wife, Kristin of Grain Valley, Sonya Wahl & her husband, Dan of Blue Springs, Justin Michaels of Blue Springs, Jerod Michaels of Independence, MO, & Joshua Michaels of the home; two grandsons: Trenton & Colton Wahl; a brother: John Michael of Blue Springs; two half-brothers: Rocky & Billy Terrill; two half-sisters: Donna Linkhart & Diana Sanderson; and many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews.
