Ronald Duane Langevin, 81, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 9th at St. Jude Catholic Church, Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Ron was born March 12, 1936, in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, the son of Bernard and Kathleen (Schuster) Langevin. He was a member of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War. Ron was an engineer at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant for 32 years. He was a Charter member of St. Jude Catholic Church, and a member of the VFW, Elks Lodge, and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Langevin, and his mother, Kathleen Smith. His survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jane Langevin of the home; three children: Teresa Djukic (John) of Elgin, IL, Todd Langevin (Denise) of Oak Grove, and Timothy Langevin (Stephanie) of Independence, MO; two sisters: Lana Hendricks (Bob) of Forrest Lake, MN, and Sandra Rash (Ed) of Pittsburg, MO; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces & nephews.
