Ronald John Koval, 93, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15th in Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, MO.
Ron was born April 28, 1930, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, the son of John and Mary Catherine (Ebel) Koval. He was a member of the United States Marines, serving from 1950 – 1953. He served during the Korean War and was stationed in Korea as a combat photographer. Even after the Marines, Ron enjoyed photography. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, enjoyed being around people, and was considered the life of the party.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 24 years, Sharon Koval.
His survivors include his daughter Kelli Nussbaum & Sam Kaddah, and grandson Alex Kaddah; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, J.E. and Carol Hutchens; nephew Danny & Susan Hutchens, niece Shannon & Kyle Ray, niece Michelle & Donny Anderson; great nieces and nephews, Becky & Colt Johnson, Rachel Hutchens, Kaity Sommer, Brad and Rebecca Ray, Megan and Austin Kemp, Eric and Mikayla Sommer, Jacob and Kassie Anderson, Alyssa Anderson; great-great niece, Elowen Sommer; great-great nephews, Easton Anderson and J.J. Anderson.
