Ross Henson McClelland III peacefully passed away in his sleep at home, at the age of 56. Born on February 7th, 1966 in Overland Park, Kansas, he lived a fulfilling life surrounded by family. Ross spent the majority of his professional career working at the Department of Homeland Security. He was able to effortlessly make friends throughout his life in any and every situation. Ross was known for his positive attitude and his caring heart. He would touch people’s hearts and light up any room that he entered. Most importantly, Ross was a loving husband and father. Ross dedicated every Friday evening to family movie nights. His favorite movies included Braveheart, Spartacus, and The Breakfast Club. He was often found listening to Rush or watching a Chiefs game. Although he would gladly watch any movie his family chose, he held a special place in his heart for animated and action movies. As a man of God, he would spread the Lord’s Word not only through speech, but also through his actions. He gave selflessly to those around him, and refused to let his own circumstances negatively affect the mood of others.
Ross is survived by his wife Joan Bado McClelland and his daughter Jossie Esparas McClelland.
