Roxey L. Hendricks, 79, of Independence, MO passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at her home under the loving care of her husband, Robert. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home, Independence; burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kearney, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
On September 22, 1940, Roxey was born to Beulah and Oriene (Breshears) Hunziker. She was the third of five children. Roxey married Robert Hendricks on December 8, 1992. She worked several years at AT&T before retiring at a young age. She enjoyed working in her garden and taking care of her flowers. Roxey was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Ashton Hiatt, and sister Nadine.
Her survivors include her loving husband of 27 years, Robert; stepdaughter, Traci Hiatt (Carey); grandson, Chandler Hiatt; brothers: Lewis Hunziker (Shirley) and Leland Hunziker (Kay); sister, Linda Hunziker; and dogs, Brittney and Mandy.
