Sandra H. Leonard, 79, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 3rd at First Christian Church in Blue Springs, MO.
Sandra was born on April 10, 1944, in Santa Paula, CA, the daughter of Harley Lee and Lucretia Leona (Moulder) Kidder. She served her country in the United States Army. Sandra married David Leonard on August 29, 1980 in Miami, OK. She was a nurse and retired from the V.A. after 20+ years. She enjoyed traveling and showing her Mustang Pace cars. Sandra was also a Jayhawks basketball fan and an avid reader. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and her dog, Buddy.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, James Dean Covell.
Her survivors include her husband, David Leonard of the home; three children: Teresa Toth (Timothy) of Blue Springs, Timothy Covell (Sally Hoover) of Plattsburg, MO, and Melinda Coleman of Olathe, KS; nine grandchildren: Andrew Toth, Katelyn Reese (Nicholas), Connor Toth, Mollie Toth, Isabella Covell, Ashy Covell, Talula Hoover, Jillian Coleman, and Miranda Coleman; four great-grandchildren: Eli Toth, Gage Reese, Tiberius Reese, and Harley Reese; and her dog, Buddy.
