Sandra “Sandy” Lee Roberts, age 85, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Blue Springs Wellness and Rehab from pancreatic cancer. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5th at Oak Grove Estates, 615 SE Salem Street, Oak Grove, MO 64075. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Restored Church of God, 1000 Ambassador Drive, Wadsworth, OH 44281.
Sandy was born on January 4, 1940, in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Albert and Nadine (Salley) Snedeger. She grew up on a 70-acre farm with the love of horses. She went to nursing school at Research Nursing School. Sandy was a devoted member of the World-Wide Church of God (Restored Church of God) since 1973. She enjoyed visiting the nursing home and being with the residents, singing, and using her puppet, Sparkie. She also enjoyed listening to different kinds of music on her computer. Sandy had a love of history and spent a good deal of time writing about her own family history. She traced her roots from the lineage of her grandmother as far back as 1739.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; her brother & sister-in-law, Albert “Red” & Frieda Mae Maxwell; her sister & brother-in-law, Earline & Charles Inham; and two sons, Jeffery Maxwell and Chester Roberts.
Her survivors include her son J.B. Maxwell of Holden, MO; daughter-in-law, Cecilya Roberts of Muldrow, OK; grandchildren: Cecilya Leverne Kelley, Chester Leverne Roberts III, and Jaylena Maxwell; and great-grandson, Asher Kelley.
