Scott Michael Setser, 52, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on June 16, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Melinda Ramirez Setser. He was a proud father to two sons, Dominic and Diego. He also leaves behind his parents, Billy and Linda Setser; his sister Sara Chapman; and an extended family of adored aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29th with service to follow from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, 130 NW Murray Road, Lee’s Summit, MO 64081.
Those that want to celebrate the incredible life and legacy of Scott can join the family in a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, June 30th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Crestview Dairy Events, 16499 E. 83rd St. Kansas City, MO 64139. Scott asked that his friends and family come ready to enjoy each other and remember all of the joyous memories they shared. This event is casual and upbeat (No funeral attire please and Good Vibes Only). Ever the host – Scott made sure food and beverages will be provided for all friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Scott Setser Memorial Fund for Mindy Setser. Checks can be mailed to Community America Credit Unit at 1720 SE Blue Parkway, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. The fund is working on an electronic payment method, and we will send an update when this is available. All donations will be used to support Scott’s final wishes and to support his family during this difficult time.

He lives on through you and will be greatly missed. May God embrace all of you. Prayers for healing, fond memories, and love. XOXO The Flattery’s

27 Jun 2021I knew Scott, Sara, Linda and Bill growing up in Gregory Heights in Raytown. I just remember how nice of a family Scott had and that Scott was always a very nice guy. It sounds like he went on to marry a terrific lady and raise two great guys. My family s thoughts and prayers are with the Setser Family. May God bless you,

28 Jun 2021Dearests Mindy, Dominic, and Diego,
My heart hurts for the three of you, but I also know that Scott would want you to live on and give life everything that it has to offer you. He was the proudest father and husband and worked hard so that his family could have all that they needed. You now have a VERY special guardian angel looking over you at all times. Please know that you are ALL in my thoughts and prayers and I am available if you need anything at all!
