Sherman Lee Johnson, 80, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City. Services with Military Honors were held on Memorial Day, May 30, 2016.
Sherman was born March 3, 1936, in Glasgow, Montana, the son of Ned and Inez (Jones) Johnson. He served in the U.S. Marines & Navy. Sherman was an appliance repairman for Sears, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed woodworking, watching sports, and especially spending time with his family.
Sherman was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and his wife of 34 years, Deloris Johnson.
His survivors include four daughters: Debbie Jennings of Lovelady, TX, Beverly Lancaster of Centerview, MO, Pamela Bruns (Robert) of Grain Valley, MO, and Shelly Stiltner (Tony) of Meridian, MS; two sons: Ronald Washum (Roseanne) of Fountain Hill, AZ, and Bruce Erwin (Jennie) of Spencer, IN; one brother, Glenn Johnson of Clancy, MT; seventeen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
