Stacy A. Keutzer

Stacy Ann Keutzer, 65, of Napoleon, MO, passed away January 16, 2023, at home after a long battle with cancer.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21st at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, MO.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.

Stacy was born in Duluth, MN, on March 9, 1957. She grew up in the Duluth area and graduated from Proctor High School. Stacy met her husband, Virgil, square dancing. They were married on April 30, 1977, and were married for 45 years. Throughout the years Stacy and Virgil dairy farmed in Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri. During their younger years, they fostered over 30 kids in the Minnesota foster system. Stacy took care of both her mother in-law, who passed away from cancer, and her grandmother in-law in the family home till the early 1990’s.

Stacy then received her CNA certification and worked for 13 years between the St. Michaels Nursing home in Minnesota and the Wayne County Care Facility in Iowa, where she retired from in 2004. Stacy spent the next 13 years taking care of her elderly father-in-law at home and doing Farmers Markets with him in Iowa and then later in Missouri. Stacy really loved being a vender at the Farmers Markets where she could visit with everyone. Stacy enjoyed having large family gatherings during Thanksgiving and Christmas. In her spare time Stacy enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery, and watching movies with her dogs, Pumpkin and Pippi. She enjoyed going camping and out on the boat at Truman Lake. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her kids and grandchildren.

Stacy was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Suzanne Putnam. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Keutzer; her brothers Keith and Paul Putnam; sister Shannon Putnam; son Joshua Keutzer; daughter Jonnie Gibbs; and grandchildren Sebastian and Zachary Gibbs.
