Susan Florence Martin, 70, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. Burial to follow in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley.
Susan was born March 25, 1952 in Kansas City, Kansas. The daughter of William Dale and Gertie Loyce (Jones) Goodwin. She loved to garden and could grow anything. Susan would sew clothes for her family. She even made her daughter-in-law’s wedding dress. She was very creative and artistic. She enjoyed Landscape and Tole painting. Most of all, Susan was a teacher at heart. She was married to Danny for 18 wonderful years. Susan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed telling stories of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Anna Applegate; grandson: Matthew Applegate.
Susan is survived by her husband: Danny Martin of the home; son Jason and wife Elizabeth Applegate: grandchildren: Abigail, Mary, Phebe and Justus Applegate; daughter: Shauna and husband David Douglas: grandchildren: Elaina, Claire, and William Douglas; daughter: Hailey and husband Jason Starrett: grandchildren: Oliver, Wrynlee Starrett; brother: Gary and wife Peggy Goodwin; step-daughter: Anita Duffy Martin.
