Suzanne (Susie) Eleanor (Phillips) Buck
Susie was born August 7, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Evelyn G. (Stilts) and Robert C. Phillips. She graduated from Raytown South High School in 1964 and finished her extensive training in cosmetology, opening her first hair salon in Blue Springs, Missouri, operating salons in Missouri and later in Las Vegas for nearly 45 years. Susie loved traveling and was keen on interior decoration. Following the passing of her mother, she and her husband moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they made a beautiful new life. Following her husband’s passing, Susie returned to Missouri to be close to family. She passed away on May 22 at the age of 75, surrounded by her family. There will be a private Celebration of Life gathering at a later date.
Susie was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother and namesake Susie Stilts; mother, Evelyn Phillips; father, Bob Phillips; aunt, Virginia Raupp; two cousins, Pat Raynor and Jack Stilts; and her beloved husband, Gerry Buck. Remaining to treasure her memory are her daughter, Shelly Crane; granddaughter, Alexis Crane, her beloved great-grandson, Ayden Daniel; and close cousin, Dr. Michael Raynor.
