Virgil “Skip” Davis, 94, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Visitation will be held 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family request no flowers.
Skip was born November 7, 1928 in Independence, Missouri. The son of Harley E. and Freda C. (Johns) Davis. He enjoyed traveling. One of his favorite spots was Trout Fishing at Bennett Spring and teaching others how to Fly Fish. Skip worked as a Diesel Mechanic at Midway Ford most of his life. The family would like to thank the staff of Country Oak Village for the great care that Skip received in his final days, as well as Amedisys Hospice.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Gloria; infant daughter, Deann; son, Mark; nephew, David Melugin; one brother; and one sister.
Skip is survived by his niece, Paula Melugin of Blue Springs, MO; nephew, Steve Melugin and wife Debbie of Lewisville, TX; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; god-daughter, Pam Bush of Blue Springs, MO.

18 May 2023My parents Bob and Juanita had a lot a great times with Skip and Gloria. I remember going to the tv station to see Mark when he was on Bowling for Dollars. It was always fun to see them cutting-up when they got together. My condolences for your loss.
