Our mom was a true warrior to the very end! She was the absolute best mother a child could ask for! She had so much love in her heart for her family and she definitely showed it to every one of her kids and grandkids! Her favorite pastimes were taking vacation cruises with Gene and his family, going shopping at hobby lobby and Kohl’s, spending time in her flower gardens, mowing the yard and she enjoyed having farm animals and helping her husband with their cows! Our Mom, also known as Nana, has 8 wonderful grandkids and 5 beautiful great grand babies she loved each one dearly. When her grandkids were younger a few of their favorite memories of her were: her famous cinnamon apple oatmeal, stopping at garage sales and she would buy them little things they liked, playing checkers, taking them to the park, taking care of the baby chicks she had at the farm, driving them around looking at autumn leaves AND spending every Thanksgiving with her and her amazing mashed Potatoes. As they grew, she was there for all their special life events….
It’s extremely hard to put on paper just how she touched us all. Our Mom was such an amazing Wife, Mother and Nana! She will be Missed Dearly!

18 Feb 2022Kay was my sister in law. Although I didn’t know her for very many years, I always enjoyed our conversations when she and George visited Iowa.
We had the communality of sharing our love of gardens and flowers. I know she loved George, her family and the farm life. I will miss her. Rest In Peace, Kay!
